NPO "GKMP" LLC is a group of companies aimed at developing not only the machine-building, electronic, aerospace industries in the country and the world, but also innovative developments, as well as fundamental and applied research in nuclear energy, are actively pursued here.

We present to your attention a scientific article devoted to the development of thermonuclear energy, the implementation of the ITER project, Russian participation in the project and participation in the project of our company. It should be noted that the preliminary control assembly of the T-15 MD magnetic system together with the vacuum chamber was completed at the plant of NPO GKMP LLC in Bryansk.

It is worth noting that LLC NPO GKMP Machinery & Tools Engineering Group has won the tender, and than on June 17, 2020 detailed design and development contracts were signed and pilot production of components of vacuum stands for testing the upper and equatorial port plug-in (PPTF) in 2020. State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM is identified as the party responsible for the Russian contribution to the project, and the ITER International Organization is the end user.

The ITER reactor is being built by a consortium that includes the European Community, Japan, Russia, the United States, China, South Korea and India. The total population of these countries is about half of the total population of the Earth, so the project can be called a global response to a global challenge. The main components and assemblies of the ITER reactor have already been created and tested, and construction has already begun in the town of Cadarache (France). The production of deuterium-hydrogen plasma is planned for 2026, since the commissioning of the reactor requires lengthy and serious tests for plasma from hydrogen and deuterium.

At the same time, experiments with deuterium-tritium plasma will begin only in 2035, during which the reactor will have to hold the high-temperature plasma for 400 seconds and reach a thermal power of 500 megawatts.

Today one of the global problems facing humanity is the search for alternative energy sources. This is due not only to the upcoming shortage of oil raw materials, but also to environmental problems. Such an alternative, according to scientists, is thermonuclear energy.
