Electron beam fusion/refining machine for refractory metals (niobium Nb, tantalum Ta)

This facility is designed to fuse scrap in bars and/or refining of refractory metals, such as niobium and tantalum. The method this facility relies on is zone melting with a beam gun. The method ensures high refining grade and produces bars with smooth surface and fine homogenous structure.

Specifications
The electron beam facility for melting/refining is applied to produce high purity metals and alloys to be used in high-tech industries.

The melting is carried out in high vacuum inside a water-cooled copper crystallization vessel thus ensuring impurity free substance.

The vapors of metals generated while refining are deposited on condensation screens and are recyclable.

The facility is equipped with advanced control system that can operate both in manual and in automatic mode. The “NPO “GKMP” LLC supplies electron beam facilities for melting/refining refractory metals (Niobium Nb, Tantalum Ta).

The hardware is manufactured on request under approved Technical assignment. Any parameters can be changed at your convenience.
