On January 24, 2023 conference and expo “Road construction in Russia. Road building machinery and equipment: import replacement, development perspectives” took place in Moscow.
The forum was attended by the following officials: the president of the Association “R.O.S. Asphalt” Nikolay Bystrov, the head of the Federal Highway agency Nikolay Novikov. The conference was also attended by the deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Dmitry Bakanov, the first deputy chairman of the Committee for land and property issues Sergey Ten, the Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Albert Karimov and the Deputy director of the “NPO “GKMP” LLC Dmitry Alfimov.

The key issues of the plenary session: import replacement in road building, highway construction season under sanctions, relevant issues and perspectives of hardware production in Russia. Successful experience of localization and technology development in Russia. Domestic technologies in road construction.
The most important section of the forum was dedicated to import replacement and mechanisms to ensure innovations in road facilities.
“There is a definite progress demonstrated by the current road facilities machinery. We have resumed serial production of domestic road pavers, including those that allow to paving width up to 13 meters. We develop domestic cutters and loaders. It is to note that the share of imported components is no more than 5%” – said Nikolay Bystrov.
The colleagues engaged in the industry greatly appreciated the presentation made by the Deputy director of the “NPO “GKMP” LLC Dmitry Alfimov. His report was mainly focused on extended test campaign of the new model of the tracked road paver АСФ-Г-4-05, experienced cooperation with contractors, as well as on objectives and details of import replacement. The key part of the presentation was the announcement of the new name for the line of road pavers “DESNA”. The company works hard both on improvement of the machine and technological aspects of the model and re-branding.
The conference and the expo became a perfect venue for federal and regional authorities, project, construction and contracting organizations, expert and scientific institutes, engineering and production companies engaged in road building and machinery in order to implement new materials and technologies to build and maintain highways.
