ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor)

See article in the magazine “The Atomic expert” regarding an international project ITER (ITER, International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) – the project of the first world thermonuclear reactor constructed by an international team in Provеnce (France) near Marseille. The goal is to prove scientific and technological feasibility to use thermonuclear energy at large scale, as well as to qualify the required technological processes.

The international project ITER is based on two world core thermonuclear programs. The idea is to demonstrate scientific and technological feasibility of using the thermonuclear energy for peaceful purposes. 
2022 is expected to be a tough year for Russia, specifically in terms of ITER activities: few major deliveries are anticipated along with completion of one test bench. “Atomic expert” had a look at the schedule to get an idea what all these systems are made for.
