The Vth anniversary International conference “Asphalt and Bitumen” 2024
Last week St. Petersburg held a two-day conference “Asphalt and Bitumen 2024” to welcome more than 400 representatives of the largest road construction organizations; in course of the most constructive dialogue the experts shared their knowledge, best practices and the most advanced development trends of asphalt and bitumen in Russia.
The event was attended by the deputy General director of the Trade House “Desna” LLC Dmitry Alfimov, the lead expert of the DST Alexander Veretennikov and senior manager Tatyana Yelizarenkova. The key topics of the agenda:
- Current requirements applied to mixtures in new national standards;
- Enhanced quality at different production stages and pavement of asphalt and bitumen mixtures;
- Perspective use of domestic road building machinery and laboratory equipment;
- Perspective research and development of asphalt and bitumen mixtures;
- Recent news regarding federal legislation regulating road building.
This is the most informative conference where road building theory meets its matching practice. We, domestic manufacturers and designers of road building machinery, believed that it was rather important to ask our colleagues about implementation of advanced materials and thus understand industry’s trends and tendencies in order to tackle them promptly – noted Deputy Director of the Trade House “Desna” LLCDmitry Alfimov.
