On March 17-21, 2025 in Zvenigorod, Moscow region. The state Corporation “Rosatom” and the Russian Academy of science are to hold the 52th full-time video conference on plasma physics and controlled thermonuclear fusion.
The conference shall cover the following aspects:
1. Magnetic maintenance of high temperature plasma
2. Inertial thermonuclear fusion
3. Low temperature plasma physics
4. Essentials of plasma and beam technology
5. ITER: a step towards advanced energy
The conference will host O. Solovyeva, the director of the ITER Project office at the “NPO “GKMP” LLC, and Y. Rumyantsev of the private company ITER-center that will jointly present their thesis on featuring ITER subsystem using Port Plug Test Facility (PPTF) as an example.
The thesis will cover key topics related to deliveries of diagnostic modules of theITER Port Plug Test Facility, as well as the PPTF specific production features.
The event is to be followed up by several articles based on the best thesis in special edition of the Plasma Physics magazine both in Russian and in English. Besides several articles will be published in several editions “Achievements of applied physics” and “Applied physics”.
The first conference dedicated to this topic took place in autumn 1973 at the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FIAN of the USSR). This outstanding event joins ever since the best scientists, researchers and experts from all over the world that share their latest developments, experience and new horizons in plasma physics and thermonuclear fusion.
